What is Aero Dance?
Aero Dance is a group fitness dance workout that incorporates dance movements, high-intensity aerobics training, and high-energy music led by a dance fitness instructor through the workout.
It’s an awesome way to get fit and the rush of endorphins makes it an energising, rejuvenating and spirit-lifting experience. It’s also a great way to release tension, frustration and anxiety. We like to think of it as #dancetherapy.
Whilst the class is designed to be intense, it’s also designed to meet you where you’re at. You don’t need to be a great dancer nor do you need to be intensely fit, you just need to show up and lose yourself to dance for 45 minutes.
How does Aero Dance work?
Aero Dance is an instructor-led, group fitness workout so all you need to do is show up in clothing that you’re comfortable in.
The class features amazing workout music and soon, you’re lost in the rhythm and energy of the class. Our instructor leads you through the movements, demonstrating each movement and coordinating the balance between Aerobics and Dance movements throughout the workout
It isn’t a music video. There’s nobody watching and there’s no need for perfection. It’s just you, and your fellow dancers, lost in a high-intensity workout that breaks the shackles and sets you free.
It’s a dynamic experience but the workout itself is designed and structured in a way that allows you to move you at your own pace, according to your current fitness and strength level. If you need a moment to take a breather, that’s fine. If you’re getting through 8 reps rather than 16 in each set, that’s fine too.
If you’re auditioning for Flashdance and want to burn holes in the floor, that’s fine too. Get on with it and we’ll cheer you every step of the way.

Aero Dance is a great way to start your fitness and body transformation journey, and we recommend joining this class as part of the 6-week, 12-week and 12-month body transformation programs.
Group fitness classes are a perfect way for you to meet people and integrate into our DBF community. You’re going to be moving at your own pace throughout the class but you’re also going to be stepping that pace up out of your comfort zone because that’s the dynamic of group fitness classes.
The music, the people, being inspired by others. It all combines to give you that extra boost which drives you through the 45 minute class.
Nobody starts out dirty dancing for the 1st team but at DBF, you get to have the time of your life anyway.
