What is Safari Cycle?
It’s a group fitness indoor cycling/spinning workout that incorporates high-intensity interval cardio training, exercise movements on the bike, and great music during the instructor-led workout.
It builds on the success of traditional spinning classes but includes more movements on the bike that aren’t traditionally included in spinning classes. These movements promote functional fitness, and develop core strength in addition to cardio fitness.
Whilst the class is designed to be intense, it’s also designed to meet you where you’re at. You’re able to spin at a lower level of resistance or move with a lower degree of intensity than others whilst you’re building your fitness and endurance levels.
How does Safari Cycle work?
Safari Cycle is instructor-led and all the equipment you’ll need is in the class so all you need to do is show up with a towel and some water. The rest is facilitated by us.
The class starts with great music and a warm up, which prepares you for the higher levels of intensity and movements to come.
Throughout the workout, the instructor varies the pace, leads you up hill climbs and short sprints, and demonstrates each movement on the bike before leading you through that evolution.
It’s a dynamic experience but the workout itself is designed and structured in a way that allows you to move you at your own pace, according to your current fitness and strength level. If you need to dial the resistance down to take a breather, that’s fine.
If you’re there to smash a personal best, that’s fine too. Dial up the resistance and intensity and rock out a PB we can all applaude.
What if I’m new to gym?

Safari cycle is not as intense as the traditional spinning classes but we still recommend you train for a few weeks before joining a class. It’s fun, interactive and gets your day off to a flying start.
Group fitness classes are a perfect way for you to accelerate your weight loss, and they are also a great way to integrate into our DBF community. You’re going to be moving at your own pace throughout the class but you’re also going to be stepping that pace up out of your comfort zone because that’s the dynamic of group fitness classes.
The music, the people, and being inspired by others all combines to give you that extra boost which drives you through the 45 minute class.
